the Consulate of Mexico in Of the River, Texas, Has reported through an information note that this Monday registered a car accident in the county of Val Verd, in the vicinity of De el Rio, Texas, in which eight people died and two more were injured.
The Consulate noted that it is in contact with local authorities to find out the details of the accident and confirm the nationality of persons who lost their lives as well as those who were injured.

He explained that the investigation is being carried out by the Texas Department of Public Safety, and in order to be able to identify the fatalities, the bodies were taken to the forensic doctor’s office in Laredo, Texas.
Also, the diplomatic headquarters was said to be attentive to any request for consular assistance or consultations of people whose relatives might be involved in the accident.

10 Mexicans die in shock in California
The crash comes two weeks after a pickup truck carrying about 25 people crashed into a tow truck in California, an accident that claimed the lives of 13 people, including 10 Mexicans.
The states of origin of the dead are: Oaxaca (three), Michoacan (three), Guerrero, Morelos, Nayarit and Baja California, one each. While 12 people were transported to hospitals for medical care, five of whom are Mexican.
The accident happened around 6:15 am on March 2 at an intersection on the outskirts of the agricultural community of Holtville, which calls itself the world capital of carrots.
