The Secretary of Foreign Affairs (SRE) reported on vaccination against covid-19 in conjunction with U.S. health authorities for the Mexican community in that country, across the 50 consulates.
The chancellery said that among the consulates that have been home to coronavirus vaccination for compatriots are those in the cities of Albuquerque, Atlanta, Boise, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Douglas, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles. , Miami, New Orleans, Omaha, Orlando, Raleigh, Sacrament, St. Paul, Salt Lake City, St. Joseph, Houston and Phoenix.
While, the consulates general in Sacramento and San Diego are their permanent vaccination sites.
For consulate staff who have been vaccinated have been primarily in the cities of Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Douglas, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Laredo, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Orlando, Phoenix, Saint Paul, St. Joseph , Tucson and Washington.
VACCINATION FOR FARMERS
The SRE reported that, with the support of consulates in Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando and Saint Paul, agricultural workers have been vaccinated in the last week.
He also noted that a pilot program administered by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Agriculture will begin this Saturday so that Mexicans participating in the Mexico-Canada Temporary Agricultural Workers Program (PTAT) can receive the COVID-19 vaccine. since his arrival at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
According to the secretariat, this program will remain in operation for the next few months, as part of Phase II of the Ontario Immunization Plan, which includes people working in sectors considered essential.
Vaccination processes have also begun in British Columbia and Quebec, with the participation of consulates general in Vancouver and Montreal.
