Changes in the production of “A New Day” by Telemundo
Telemundo’s “Un Nou Dia” will soon be called “Avui Dia”, an opportunity that will give the morning show of the Spanish-speaking television channel to start a new era that will be characterized by a more informative concept and current.
“In ‘Avui Dia’ everything will start better. With more information, more current events, a unique, original space and it will be for you. Information you need: Practical, useful and dynamic. ‘Avui Dia’ has your accent”, he detailed a promotional video of Telemundo on the Instagram platform.
So far, the television network has not announced the release date of the new era of “A New Day” under the name “Today”.

Adamari López, Nicole Suárez, Stephanie Himonidis (Chiquibaby) and chef Alfredo Oropeza will be part of the new format of Telemundo’s morning show, as detailed by L’Opinió.
In November 2020, Ana María Canseco reported exclusively on the changes in Telemundo’s “Un Nou Dia”. At the time, Canseco said that the emergence of “Today” aims to compete with Univision’s “Awake America” with a completely different concept to what has been done in recent years.
Through its official website, Canseco pointed out that “Today” will be a more newsworthy television show and will feature a completely blank set. In addition, presenter Francisco Caceres will not be part of the new era of morning production of Telemundo.
Telemundo’s “A New Day”, formerly called “Get up!”, Has been on the television network since 2008. In the past, personalities such as Daniel Sarcos, Rashel Díaz, Héctor Sandarti and Marc Antoni Regil were part of the team of official presenters of the morning show.
Currently, “A New Day” is led by Adamari Lopez and Stephanie Himonidis. For their part, Jimena Gállego, Azucena Cierco and Rebeka Smyth have been guest presenters of the show in recent months.
Unlike what has been done in recent years in “A New Day”, the arrival of “Today” will feature news programming that will not focus on the entertainment industry as the main focus.
The new team of official presenters of “Avui Dia” will be led by Adamari López, who is one of the personalities who has long remained in front of the morning show of Telemundo that is broadcast since 2008 with complete success to the United States.
The Telemundo show has been awarded three national Emmy Awards as “Excellent Morning Program in Spanish” and has positioned itself as one of the favorite television productions for the Spanish-speaking audience in the United States.
Amid the constant restructuring of “A New Day,” chef Alfredo Oropeza was the latest personality to join the show in order to provide a plethora of culinary recipes to Hispanics following Telemundo’s programming.
Telemundo’s morning production “A New Day” airs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Eastern Time.
