According to Variety, the 40-year-old is in final negotiations to star in Sandra Bullock in the upcoming romantic adventure film The Lost City Of D, according to Variety.

The feature film will also be co-produced by Bullock under the banner of Fortis Films.

Adam and Aaron Nee, who directed the 2015 Band Of Robbers crime comedy, are headed for the next project.

The film follows a romantic novelist who takes a book tour with her cover model. During their journey, the two experience an attempted kidnapping that lands them in the middle of the jungle, where they must trust each other to survive.

The feature is based on an idea by Horrible Bags director Seth Gordon, which was adapted into a screenplay with input from Dana Fox and Oren Uziel.

Gordon will also have to co-produce the film through his production company Exhibit A Films.

Bullock’s first foray into production was with the 1998 dramatic film Hope Floats, which also starred opposite Harry Connick Jr .; the feature film was directed by Forest Whitaker.

The 56-year-old actress has produced several other films throughout her career, including the 2000 comedy Miss Congeniality and the 2005 sequel.

In 2002 she worked as an executive producer on the hugely successful ABC sitcom George Lopez.

The show lasted six seasons and was nominated for numerous critical acclaim during its broadcast period.

Tatum has recently finished production of his upcoming comedy film Dog, which he stars in.

The actor also acts as co-director and co-producer along with his film partner Reid Carolin.

Dog will follow Army Briggs, played by Tatum, and his canine companion as they embark on a frantic road trip down the west coast to attend a funeral.

While Dog will make his directorial debut as an actor, he has produced many of his other films, including 21 Jump Street, Magic Mike and White House Down.
