Charlotte, North Carolina – While state health officials warn against the big rallies that are due to ring in 2021, a Charlotte church is organizing a meeting that is expected to bring out hundreds of attendees, according to NBC affiliate WCNC.
The United House of Prayer organizes an event in honor of the titular bishop of the church. Bishop CM Bailey, leader of the House of Prayer franchise, made up of about 150 churches, visits the Charlotte location on Saturday and Sunday.
Churches of the House of Prayer across the area are expected to take members by bus, WCNC reports.
In October, Charlotte Church hosted a week-long convocation event that drew thousands of church members from across the country. The Mecklenburg County Health Department said at least 208 coronavirus infections and nine deaths were traced back to the event.
