Two words: Vampire. Samurai.
Something a little different today Guilty Gear Strive Start guide, as Arc System Works finally raises the curtain on one of the new and upcoming characters of the fighters. Stoic, terrifying, as elegant as any GOOD GAME story, welcome to the nightwalker – Nagoriyuki.
I could just write “Vampire Samurai” and leave it like that, but you deserve more. I will point out that Nagoriyuki’s huge frame dominates the battlefield, while her sharp Katana provides her with ridiculous range and amazing fist ability. Nagoriyuki’s vampire tendencies also come into play through her game of moves, with a “blood indicator” that fills up as her opponent lands. Once completed, Nagoriyuki can activate a Rage mode, which expands its range and damage, at the expense of several special attacks.
Essentially, an efficient Nagoriyuki player will become more powerful as the fight progresses, but he will also get into riskier games. This is reminiscent of Killer Instinct’s sucker Mira, who also changed health and strength options as the fight continued. In addition to this mechanic, Nagoriyuki has shifting / short teleporting skills, command capture, and advanced combos. Nagoriyuki already seems like an absolute force to be reckoned with and will certainly make her impact felt when she debuts in the spring.
