Finally the day came, this Saturday night the Mexican Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez returns to the ring to face unbeaten British Callum Smith in the fight for the Supermediate title of the World Boxing Association and the World Boxing Council at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Canelo fights for the first time in 2020 and has a tricky challenge ahead against a 6-foot, 3-inch-tall rival –the highest he faces in his career- which has a remarkable advantage in scope, in addition to boasting a 27-0 record with 19 knockouts.
