“Without his intervention and without thinking quickly to transport him as quickly as possible, they operated on him and probably saved his life,” Brown said.

“We’ve heard some rumors about a car attack. At the moment we don’t know,” the sup said. Said David Brown. “Circumstances suggest several different narratives of what this might be, it may be a misidentification and it may be a road rage, a hacking. We just don’t know, it’s too early to know given the circumstances.”
There are several businesses in the area that may have captured the incident in a surveillance video. Police said they were also looking to see if anything was captured on city security cameras.
“Unfortunately, this event reminds us of the dangers our officers face every day, whether on duty or off duty,” Mayor Lightfoot said.
This has already been a difficult week for DPC men and women. As I said earlier, there must be real consequences for violent offenders who opt for armed violence not only against our officers, but all residents of our city.
