Walmart has temporarily closed its location at the Chula Vista supercenter to allow for a thorough cleaning and sanitation of the building, a Walmart spokesman confirmed to NBC 7.
The Supercenter Chula Vista located at 875 E. H St. it will close on Sunday at 2pm and reopen on Tuesday at 7am
Walmart says the closure is part of a company-initiated program that allows cleaning crews to clean and sanitize the building and allow employees time to replenish shelves to prepare the store for reopening.
Walmart sent the following statement:
“Everything we do is for the well-being of our partners and customers, and in consideration of the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and health experts. When the store reopens on Tuesday, we will continue to perform health tests. and associated temperature controls and all associates will receive face masks and gloves.
These protocols are in addition to the extensive measures we have put in place during the pandemic to help protect our partners and customers, including the installation of sneeze protectors on logs, temperature checking, and mandatory use. of masks for associates, the placement of social distancing signs and the conduct of emergencies. leave the policy to associates who are unable to work or feel uncomfortable.
