Cimafunk, The Cuban feeling of funk i Diana Fonts, Pop diva, join voices in The Pope, A funky and danceable song that mixes modern sounds but leaves a sense of music from before.
The Pope, which is part of the EP Cun Cun Prá recently released by Cimafunk, it’s a fun, funky song with lyrics that have a double meaning, allowing your imagination and entertainment to fly in a healthy way.
“She gives it a sweet, aggressive elegance at the same time. And of course she wore funk,” Cimafunk says of having Diana on the subject.
When Cimafunk started recording The Pope, A song he created with his band during a sound check before a concert on a US tour, he thought of Diana Fonts.
“I’ve always liked his flow and I’ve been a fan of his songs,” Cimafunk says. “I knew it would be great to add his touch to this song.”
