As part of the process of implementing the Ordinance task, started on January 1 this year, consumers belonging to non-state forms of management will have the opportunity to define the rate for which they will be billed for monthly electricity consumption, as reported by the Electric Union (UNE).
In a statement issued by the UNE, to opt for this service it is necessary that users do not have accounts pending payment of the electricity service.
To start the process, the consumer must present himself at the Commercial Office of his territory with the following documents: identity card; document accrediting him as an employee of some form of non-state management; and details of the bank account to which the billing amount will be debited.
In the commercial offices of the UNE of all the country will initiate the process of request of change of tariff once published the same in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba.
From this moment, and fulfilling the requirements described above, the worker of the non-state form of management will be able to initiate the procedure of his contract with the company.
“It is not necessary to install an additional meter in the home where the worker’s activity is carried out,” said the information issued by the UNE.
