College student died a day after receiving the J&J vaccine

A University of Cincinnati student died a day after receiving the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, according to health officials.

John Foley, 21, died unexpectedly on Sunday, a day after being given a single dose, Hamilton County coroner Lakshmi Kode Sammarco told Fox 19.

The cause of Foley’s death is being investigated by the Ohio Department of Health and the coroner’s office.

Foley was found Sunday by his roommates. There is no evidence to indicate that his death was related to the shooting of Johnson & Johnson, who was arrested in the United States this week due to blood clot ties.

Foley’s family issued a statement saying “this wonderful, sweet joy of our lives.”

“While the facts are still unclear about how he died, we rejoice in how he lived: caring for others, enlightened by the grace of God, and generous with everyone,” the statement says.

“We know that the doctors involved are doing their best. We need to be patient and also ask for patience from everyone. John was going to be a doctor, so that’s what I’d like. “

The news of Foley’s death comes when a Mississippi man was left paralyzed on one side and unable to speak after being shot by Johnson & Johnson.
