Colts ’Philip Rivers tied Dan Marino with passes from 420 TD to 42 yards to Zach Pascal

Philip Rivers of the Indianapolis Colts has never been the most mobile quarterback. That’s all right. Sometimes, you just have to do enough to act the way you do, and that made Rivers on his first touchdown pass against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Heinz Field.

The Steelers caused a bombardment at the end of the second quarter, when Rivers took a step to his left, took a couple of steps into his pocket and found receiver Zach Pascal for a 42-yard touchdown pass. Rivers was hit by two Steelers defenders to give the Colts a 21-7 lead.

The touchdown pass was the 420th of Rivers’ career, which tied Dan Marino at fifth on the NFL’s all-time touchdown list.
