HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) – Comedian Fuquan Johnson and two others died after an overdose of fentanyl-linked cocaine at a home in Venice on Saturday, while comedian and model Kate Quigley was in critical condition, according to several reports Sunday.

“It was one of those bright spots in the community where everyone knew … you always knew I was going to smile at you, you always knew I was going to say something nice,” said comedian Ron G., a friend of Johnson’s. add that you are broken by the loss of your friend.

The Los Angeles Police Department said Johnson, 43, who had appeared on the Laugh Factory stage last week, was one of three people killed Saturday morning inside a house on the canals. of Venice Beach. Johnson was known in the Los Angeles comedy community as a comedian and writer for “Comedy Parlor Live.”
The other two victims have been identified as Natalie Williamson, 33, of Los Angeles, and Enrico Colangeli, 48, of Medford, Massachusetts, according to the Los Angeles County Forestry Bureau.
Police have not confirmed the cause of death, but say preliminary reports point to an overdose of all three.
TMZ, which broke the story for the first time, reported that the victims ingested cocaine linked to fentanyl, including comedian and model Kate Quigley, 39.

When first responders flooded block 200 of the Carroll Canal shortly after midnight on Saturday, they found Quigley, who lives in the neighborhood, in critical condition and rushed her to the hospital. The others were already dead.
The night-time commotion woke people up in the normally quiet neighborhood.
“I went outside and saw an ambulance and several fire trucks and they were putting someone in the ambulance,” said Kim Bresson, a neighbor. “Then I walked to the front and saw three people who did not look good and the police inside. A little surprised and scary. “
While Quigley is expected to recover, tonight’s show host, Ron G., told CBSLA he would hold a moment of silence to pray for her and honor Johnson.
