That’s how it became known that the Guatemalan Mario Escobar Toca, will be the central referee of this commitment in the Morera Soto. This whistle will be part of the next Club World Cup to be held in February.

Escobar Toca will be assisted by his compatriot Gerson López and Costa Rican Víctor Ramírez and the fourth official will also be the Guatemalan Bryan López.

According to CONCACAF, due to travel issues, the February assistant referee originally appointed for this match was unable to travel to Costa Rica in time to ensure compliance with all pre-CONCACAF match protocols.

In accordance with competition regulations, the governing body has appointed a local FIFA assistant referee as a replacement.

It should be remembered that such problems have already occurred in this championship and so it happened in the game Olimpia vs Managua, when the entire quartet could not travel to Honduras and were named Honduran whistlers.

From this duel Alajuelense and Olimpia will leave the first finalist of Liga CONCACAF. The other finalist will be announced next Friday when Saprissa of Costa Rica and Arcahaie FC of Haiti face off.
