Conor McGregor insists he didn’t get hit with Machine Gun Kelly at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, but he still managed to throw another type of hit.
The 33-year-old Irish MMA wrestler said in an interview after Sunday’s red carpet altercation that “absolutely nothing happened” between him and the 31-year-old “Paperclips” performer, though that photos and videos prove otherwise.
“Absolutely nothing. I don’t know. He showed up and I don’t know. I don’t know the guy,” McGregor told Entertainment Tonight.
“Nothing happened to me, I just fight real fighters, people who really fight, you know what I mean,” he continued. “I certainly don’t fight small vanilla rappers. I don’t even know the boy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox. ”
A spy told Page Six that the two stars “had to be separated” on Sunday night after fighting on the red carpet.
Our source added that McGregor allegedly threw his drink at rocker “Bloody Valentine”.
“They quarreled and settled down and Conor went to look for him again,” the source said, adding that the photographers “were not happy” and “said they would boycott Conor because they were worried about MGK and Megan not he would “walk.”
Another source told us that security had to be involved and “everyone was shouting.”
“[McGregor] she was ready to throw fists, “the second source said, adding,” Security had trouble holding him back. “
It was not immediately clear what caused the dispute, but McGregor’s representative quickly denied that the fight took place despite the evidence.
“Conor only fights fighters,” his representative told Page Six in a statement Sunday.
