Conor McGregor, the famous UFC fighter, is a money-making machine. In addition to the multimillion-dollar bags he has earned in mixed martial arts, he has been able to invest in other very lucrative businesses.
This economic growth has allowed him to give himself a life of luxuries, as a few weeks ago, when it was news because he ordered, in a restaurant, a fillet dipped in gold.

One of the businesses in which McGregor ventured was that of alcoholic beverages. In 2008, the wrestler and his representative, Audie Attar, launched a whiskey called Proper No. Twelve. The drink was an immediate success and a notable show, as McGregor himself exhibited it at many of his public events.
Such was the success that exports of this Irish whiskey to other markets, especially the United States, generated millions of euros in profits and made the brand one of the most coveted.

When this whiskey was launched, the Mexican firm Becle, which specializes in the tequila market, had a significant stake: it was part of the financing of the whole process, so, initially, it received the 20 percent of the stake in the company.
This percentage grew over the years and with the success of the drink. Last year, Becle increased its stake to 49 percent and now, the news is that the Mexican firm has taken full control, buying the remaining 51 percent.
According to the Irish Mirror, Becle paid about 130 million euros to have full control of the company. What remains to be seen is whether McGregor will remain linked to the brand, given the great promotion he was doing to it.

It should be remembered that in his fight against Dustin Poirier, in which he lost his undefeated, McGregor had already received 20 million euros. Estimates say his fortune, this year, could rise beyond 200 million.
