Sao Paulo – Brazil announced the final results of the final phase of testing of China’s Sinovac vaccine on December 23, raising hopes that it could soon be used to combat COV-19 in developing countries.
Button, Brazil, the government-backed center of Sao Paulo, which is testing the corona, is expected to complete phase 3 testing of the vaccine this week.
Since Covit-19 is mostly controlled in China, the country’s vaccine developers have to conduct their clinical trials elsewhere. Coronavak is also being tested in other countries, such as Indonesia and Turkey, but Brazil is expected to be the first country in the world to announce the results of phase 3 tests.
As rich countries take vaccines from Western drug makers, poor countries continue to rely on China for their trust, which is difficult to reach in many parts of the world to help divert global anger over the country’s pre-emptive response to the epidemic. Sinovak’s coronavirus vaccine can be stored in a stable refrigerator at a temperature of 2 to 8 செல் C, thus facilitating transportation and storage in less developed areas.
“This is a global vaccine, and it’s not just for Brazil,” said Dimas Kovas, president of the Putton Institute, which produces the vast majority of vaccines in Brazil and is widely respected by scientists across the country. Mr Kovas said Putin would also help Sinovac distribute the vaccine across Latin America.
Phase 3 of the tests have been carried out in the country’s capital and seven states with about 11,000 health workers – half of whom took corona and the other half received pills – according to the government of Sவோo Paulo. The vaccine was given in two doses.
Button said 170 of those volunteers are now infected with Covit-19, giving researchers enough sample size to calculate the effectiveness of the vaccine by counting how many of the infected volunteers took coronavirus or placebo.
With tens of thousands of new cases being reported every day in Brazil, the country has become the best place to test for the Covit-19 vaccine. The disease has so far killed more than 180,000 Brazilians.
With fewer volunteers affected, Bhutan had planned to release preliminary results this week from an earlier edition of the study, but decided to wait to release full results to make it easier for regulators to approve the vaccine.
The results of the third phase tests will be submitted to regulators in China and Brazil on December 23. Toria said the government of Sவோo Paulo plans to start vaccinating on January 25.
Chinese Vaccine President Jair Bolsanaro and Mr. Is at the center of a political tug-of-war between Toria, who is expected to seek the presidency from a former military leader in the 2022 election.
Mr. who was harshly critical of China before the epidemic. Bolzano has refused to buy Coronavac for other states, and recently suggested to his supporters on social media that the vaccine could cause death and deficiencies. Mr. Some doctors fear that Anziza, the regulator of Bolsanaro, could be pressured to delay its approval.
