Coronavirus vaccine: Memorial Hermann COVID-19 vaccine clinic will open this week at NRG Park

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Memorial Hermann is partnering with NRG Park to offer a COVID-19 vaccine clinic this week.

The clinic will be open Thursday, Jan. 14 through Sunday, Jan. 17 from 7 to 7 p.m.

During this four-day event, Hermann Memorial plans to vaccinate approximately 13,000 people over the age of 65, which is based on the state’s Phase 1B vaccine distribution guidelines. The clinic is only available to those who are pre-registered to get the vaccine.

“Due to the limited number of vaccines, people who do not have an appointment confirmation or photo ID that matches the name and date of birth on the appointment confirmation will not be vaccinated,” it reads. a statement posted on the Hermann Memorial website.

Patients who have been invited to participate in this event include active and established Memorial Hermann Medical Group patients who are 65 years of age or older, who have an established relationship with the hospital system, and who are 65 years of age or older and members of the general community who are 65 years old. or larger.

“We remain committed to expanding our vaccination capacity by adding more locations and more appointments as quickly as possible,” the statement reads. “We also look forward to organizing more events like this in the near future as we continue to make vaccination available to all those who are eligible and ultimately to all patients and community members.”

Vaccination can only be done by appointment for those who meet the requirements according to state guidelines and the accessories will not be eligible.
