COVID-19 vaccines hit Walmart, Publix and Winn-Dixie stores in South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The federal retail pharmacy program will expand Floridians ’vaccination options, with features targeted at Walmart, Sam’s Club and Winn-Dixie stores, as well as more Publix locations.

The federal program sends 1 million shots nationwide, including about 40,000 to Florida grocery stores. This adds to the 325,000 shots already assigned to Florida by the federal government.

Appointments are mandatory at each site and can be made on pharmacy websites. Patients must meet state eligibility requirements and be over 65 or first-line health care workers.

Listed below are the pharmacies that receive shots in South Florida. (Information is subject to change and availability. See the listed websites for the latest details.)

Miami-Dade and Monroe are among the counties on the state list to distribute to Winn-Dixies. Broward is not.
