A couple with seven children contracted COVID and then died the same day, in different states. Troy and Charletta Green, both 44, of Detroit, were preparing for a trip to Florida last month when they suddenly felt ill. According to Fox 2, Troy decided to stay home while his 22-year-old wife left town and showed symptoms shortly after arriving. Unvaccinated spouses ended up in the ICU: Troy in Michigan and Charletta in Florida, where their condition only got worse. “Her lungs were badly damaged and … they just couldn’t do anything else for her,” said sister-in-law Tiki Green, who added that the news of his wife’s deterioration made Troy spiral. “It simply came to our notice then. He just started to have chest pains and finally a couple of hours later it happened ”. According to a GoFundMe, the Greens died within eight hours of each other.
