COVID NYC Update: Costco will offer COVID vaccines in New York City

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – Costco will soon offer COVID-19 vaccines in five states and Puerto Rico.

New York City is included among the new locations.

The member-based retailer said it will manage the catches “as soon as they are available.”

However, being a member of Costco does not guarantee that you will be able to sign up for the shot.

Costco said it only has a limited number available and would follow eligibility guidelines in each state.

“Costco is firmly committed to helping protect the health and safety of our members and employees and to serving our communities,” the company wrote in its announcement.

Stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island are intended to receive the vaccine once it is available.

Costco asked its customers not to contact their local pharmacy to schedule appointments. Instead, customers should visit their website.

The company said they expected to administer mainly Modern vaccines.
