The Dallas Cowboys begin their regular season campaign next Thursday and quarterback Dak Prescott is in the spotlight as the days count for a trip to Tampa Bay and meet with Super Bowl champion Buccaneers defender .
For Prescott, the offseason has been long, going through rehab and then facing an annoying shoulder strain that derailed the opportunity to play in the preseason. After training on Friday, the QB franchise discussed their excitement for the season opener and how all the adversity has led to that moment.

“I am just excited to have this behind me. I don’t think about the time I wasted. The other day he was just laughing with a teammate about the moment it happened. To go much further, I’m just excited to be back in football, ”Prescott said.
There has been a lot of work for Prescott over the last year. Immediately after the injury, he started his off-season and had to get back in shape and was in throwing form over the summer. Questions surrounded Prescott’s health after an ankle injury, but the five-year veteran has not lost a game due to an injury other than 2020.
Now the focus shifts to a meeting with Tom Brady to start the 2021 season. All eyes will be on the confrontation, with general stories about Prescott’s return against Brady’s still-growing legacy. The last time Prescott came out on the field, there were a limited number of fans, but Raymond James Stadium will have full capacity.
“I love night games. I love playing in the early hours. I think he is ready for the perfect stage. Let them come out of the Super Bowl title and have the fans at full capacity, I think that’s what the NFL and the world need, ”Prescott said.
The bitter end of 2020 for Prescott meant even more because of the unprecedented figures he presented in the first five weeks of the season. Prescott was on the verge of breaking the record for past single-season yards in more than 1,000 yards before injury and has made it clear he wants a more balanced offense this year.
Regardless, Prescott sees it more than a return season. The Pro Bowl quarterback sets a high bar for the revenge tour, believing it will be even better than it was in early 2020.
“I have high expectations for myself. I plan to start quickly, ”said Prescott. “Honestly, I plan to come out better than last year.”
No one has a higher standard for Prescott than himself, and on Thursday he can show it in full screen with the NFL worldview.
