Such was the surprise that the Lusitanian star spoke an oc about how he saw that fight, noting that his friends were making fun of the national boxer’s physique, indicating that he was fat; however, Cristiano defended him.

Joshua is one of the best, but Ruiz is good. That’s what I was talking about with my friends, because they were making fun of me and telling me to look at Ruiz’s big body. I told them, ‘listen, the body doesn’t matter. What matters is the preparation ‘”.

Ruiz lost the title to Joshua months later, generating a flurry of criticism due to his physical condition, as many observed a major shift between the first and second fights. Ruiz is currently training with ‘Canelo’ Álvarez.
