Cristiano Ronaldo was applauded for being chosen as the best player in Serie A in the 2019/2020 campaign
Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus striker, has been proclaimed the best player in the Italian Serie A in the 2019/2020 season during the Grand Calcium Gala, organized by the Italian Footballers Association. Mexican Chucky Lozano did not appear in any of the nominations.
The former Real Madrid player contributed 31 goals to the ninth consecutive title for the Turin team.
“I feel happy and fortunate. I think perseverance, self-confidence, work and passion are the secret to continuing to enjoy football and you need to keep those elements in place every day to keep performing, whether you have 34, 35, 36 or 40 years, ”Cristiano Ronaldo commented after receiving the trophy.
Cristiana Girelli, also from Juventus, was chosen best “calciatrice” (best Calci player) and Gian Piero Gasperini, from Atalanta, best coach.
Atalanta received the trophy at the club of the year and Daniele Orsato the best referee.
The ideal team for the 2019/2020 season in Serie A was formed by Donnarumma (Milan); Gosens (Atalanta), De Vrij (Inter), Bonucci (Juventus), Theo Hernández (Milan); Luis Alberto (Lazio), Barella (Inter), Gómez (Atalanta); Dybala (Juventus), Immobile (Lazio) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus).
