The Industrial Company Àngel Vila-real Bravo, in Vila Clara, also known as Cicles Minerva, will produce in 2021 about 10,000 electric bicycles, the highest figure since the incorporation of this line in its business portfolio, he reported the newspaper Vanguardia.
Last year, the entity, which belongs to the Business Group of the Iron and Steel Industry (Gesime), reached 25 million pesos for sales of electric bicycles and tricycles, of which more than four million in currency freely convertible (MLC).
Elier Pérez Pérez, its general manager, explained to the newspaper that these results respond to its insertion in e-commerce, through the gateways of purchase, and for sales in the network of stores in MLC, of the Cimex and Caribbean chains.

The official said that, at present, Cicles Minerva has three suppliers abroad, and is signing another contract, which will allow it to secure the raw material and close this year with total sales for over 150 million pesos, and higher revenue in MLC.
On the prospects for 2021, Pérez Pérez has expressed that they plan to rescue the mechanical bicycles, for marketing in national currency and in MLC, in addition to offering some spare parts.
They also undertake other productions of high value for the country, such as the manufacture of galvanized doors for the housing program, and the manufacture of palletizing shelves for tourism projects, funded by the Almest Real Estate Company, the forming process of metals, painting and assembly, are made in the industry itself. Pérez Pérez explained that the contracts with Almest favor the introduction of new technologies to perfect the finishing of their productions.
Cicles Minerva is currently working on several development projects in the testing phase, which include five models of electric cargo and passenger tricycles, scheduled to be introduced in the final stretch of the year, and proceed to the study of two models of electric ATV , to incorporate them into the business portfolio.
