Actor Rafael Ernesto Hernández asked the Cuban government to acknowledge that “they have failed in the direction of the nation,” as he wrote on social media.
This was demanded by the renowned actor on Facebook: “It’s okay to justify political and economic shortcomings with spent speeches. Recognize that they have failed in the direction of the nation.”
“The homeland does not begin and end in the Council of State or the Palace of Conventions. Below the podium and above the plurality of voices,” added Rafael Ernesto.
The actor also referred to the new musical success, Homeland and Life, Starring Yotuel, Maykel Osorbo, Zone People, The Funky and Descemer, which has faced a strong media campaign by the government.
“Everyone carries a piece of homeland at their expense and has a right and responsibility over it. I am also a homeland and I choose life and freedom undead,” the actor said.
He also criticized the attempts of the Cuban pro-government media to describe the issue as annexationist and Riposto in this way:
“No one wants an annexation … and the one who is an annexationist repudiates his homeland. But whoever believes that a political party and its interests are greater than the homeland, does not value it either, so it does not deserve it. What it has tried whimsically tying an ideology and putting it at the service of it does not know what homeland means. Isn’t that also a way to annex? “, he declared.
The actor joined the claims of a large part of the citizenry and an artistic movement that has won the sympathy of many Cubans to demand a political change in government.
“The consensus sustained by fear, ignorance and opportunism is over. For a plural homeland. Homeland is you, homeland is me …. homeland is humanity,” he stressed.
In a previous post, the artist had criticized a report by journalist Llàtzer Manuel Alonso for NTV where he slandered the contents and the protagonists of Cuba’s new urban anthem, which already exceeded one million views on Youtube.
“Look at this unbearable absurdity when it comes to annexation!” The actor wrote about one of the Cuban government’s preferred ratings to discredit any opposition.
“Who will be the ventriloquist who has put his hand in the rectum of this doll?”, He added with irony, “here no one wants to change owners but rather not have any”, he concluded
