The young Cuban musician and singer-songwriter Efrén Rubén to die to the United States, Last Christmas night, confirmed his manager Danny Jacomino.
“All his friends, his family, his band are devastated. I just ask his fans to have him in his memory, to share his good faith and his music,” he expressed in a video to his Social Networks.
Jacomino said the young artist had died in an accident “which we are not absolutely clear about”, but that “Efren ceased to exist, he left us very soon”.
The news has moved his fans, friends and colleagues in the music scene, who have expressed their pain and commotion on social media.
the troubadour Frank Delgado, With whom he shared the stage on multiple occasions in Cuba as a bassist and second voice, has lamented the news.
“My dear child, your departure has left me breathless. Light for you”, Wrote the singer-songwriter.
After years of accompanying various artists and being part of groups such as Hard Currency, Efrén Rubén had released his solo album it’s too much, Last November.
In August it was presented at the virtual ceremony of the Latin Awards Chicago, Awards in which he was nominated.
That same week, he delighted his fans with the theme The Train of Joy, A message full of love and good vibes for the Christmas season.
Efrén Rubén was born in Ciego de Ávila and had been in Miami for more than 8 years. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
