The state will continue to report positive rates based on the date of test sample collection, but this now distinguishes rates between molecular and antigen tests or rapid tests, which are considered potential events by most health departments.

The statewide seven-day average positive rate for molecular tests based on the date of test sample collection was 13.1% as of Friday. State health officials said the use of data based on it when people are tested provides a very accurate positive rate.
