Former Republican President Danilo Medina said Wednesday that the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) is “back,” after meeting with mayors and district directors of that political organization.
This was announced by the PLD in a statement, which also highlighted the work they must carry out, in order to achieve their goals “so that the party shines and returns growth and stability to the country. “.
According to the document, in the assembly fifteen of the present mayors presented their ideas and suggestions on the conformation of the Councils of Councilors and requesting the formality of a technical support of the direction of the PLD.
During his speech, the former president took the suggestion of a technical team to recall that in the 1980s the party was able to structure a commission of this nature, with the aim of advising and accompany the town councils.
Similarly, Medina urged that the councils set up teams for the management of social networks, to defend their management and initiatives, and also serve to keep in touch with the leaders of the PLD in municipalities and provinces, which with party reorganization, they will be linked by a member of the Political Committee.
The former head of state also urged the mayors and directors present to recall “the respectful treatment that the government management of the Dominican Liberation Party offered to the mayors, regardless of political sides.”
