Danny Duffy would not pitch for LA in 2021

LOS ANGELES – When the Dodgers acquired left-back Danny Duffy from the Royals on the change deadline, the club knew the earliest they could see the veteran pitching for them was sometime in September .

On Friday, Duffy was scheduled to launch a “big” session of the bullpen, one that would determine his availability for the rest of the campaign. Unfortunately for Duffy and the Dodgers, the serpentine experienced pain in his left elbow during this bullpen session at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers driver Dave Roberts said Duffy was able to start the pitching session, but had to suspend it before reaching the submission limit. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

“It doesn’t look good,” Roberts said. “Except for a miracle, it will be very difficult for him to pitch for us this year.”
