On March 4, 2022 premieres ‘The Batman’, the ‘reboot’ of the Night Knight with British actor Robert Pattinson playing the superhero. But in the DC Comics movie universe, in his upcoming tapes, another actor will dress up as Batman: Michael Keaton.
Keaton, remembered for playing Batman in the films ‘Batman’ (1989) and ‘Batman Returns’ (1992) directed by Tim Burton, will return to play the character in ‘The Flash’, the director’s next film Andy Muschietti with Ezra Miller as Barry Allen and will also arrive in 2022. Interestingly, in this film of the scarlet speedster would also appear Ben Affleck’s Batman, in doubt because of the differences between the actor and Warner Bros.
However, DC Comics has been responsible for explaining how two and possibly 3 Batman will coexist in its film universe, with Robert Pattinson being his bet for the future.
Multiverse
The ‘New York Times’ interviewed Walter Hamada, president of DC Films, who confirmed a multiverse in his upcoming films, confirming the presence of Gal Gadot as ‘Wonder Woman’ on tapes of other superheroes and the date which they handle for the premiere of ‘The Flash’.
For everything to make sense between Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Michael Keaton’s Batman, DC Films and Warner will present fans with “parallel worlds in which different versions of the same character exist simultaneously.”
Hello @brooksbarnesNYT. According to your Hamada piece, some have interpreted that WB makes two franchises starring Batman, one with Pattinson and one with a new actor. Is that correct, or did you refer to Keaton as a second Batman, part of a non-Batman-centered saga? Thanks!

I’ve been offline (moving apartments) and seeing this madness of Michael Keaton again. I was referring to the * unique movie * in which Keaton has been advertised, not a set of his own Batman movies. If I had information about him beyond “The Flash,” I would obviously have put it in my article

Basically, the feature film franchise will have two worlds and journalist Brooks Barnes, who interviewed Hamada, confirmed on Twitter that the future of Batman will be linked to two names: Pattinson and Keaton, participation, for now, is limited to the film of Flash.
