Geoff Keighley will write a new chapter in his love story for game creator Hideo Kojima later this week, as it confirms “an extensive look at the game” Death Stranding Director’s Cut for Gamescom Opening Night Live . Taking place on Wednesday, the host simply caused the game’s footage to be long along with the bold warning: “Don’t miss this moment.” We mean you probably missed it because we’ll have a handy summary of all the PS5 and PS4 ads on the show available on the site later, but don’t hesitate to Keighley.
So far, we know that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will feature some new historical missions and a racing mode along with some elements clearly inspired by Metal Gear Solid. Also, the PS5 upgrade is a much more reasonable price than Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. So you might not expect new content on the same scale as Iki Island. Still, we’ll see it all in action on Wednesday.
