TORRANCE, California (AP) – California authorities are investigating why a man found bankrupt in a car had more than 300 unopened ballot papers for the government withdrawal election.
The man was arrested Aug. 16 after being found in a parking lot of Torrance stores, according to police.
Investigators from the Torrance Police Special Investigations Division, the U.S. Postal Service and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Public Integrity Unit were trying to determine how the ballot boxes ended up in the suspect’s vehicle and what it was. his intention to have them, police said in a statement on Facebook Monday.

The man was a criminal who had drugs, a loaded firearm, thousands of pieces of mail, a balance sheet and several California driver’s licenses and credit cards on behalf of other people, police said.
The man, whose name was not disclosed, was arrested for investigation of gun violations, narcotics and forgery.
