Demi Lovato had a heart attack and 3 spills after her overdose

Los Angeles. Demi Lovato revealed this Wednesday that she suffered a heart attack and 3 strokes after the overdose for which she was hospitalized in 2018 and after which she almost lost her life.

“Doctors said she was only 5 or 10 minutes longer alive,” the singer said in the trailer for the documentary “Dancing with the Devil,” which will be released on March 23 in four installments via YouTube platform.

The Mexican-born artist returned to the stage at last year’s Grammys after a period of rehabilitation after suffering an overdose due to fentanyl consumption in the summer of 2018, which still has consequences for his health .

“I was left with brain damage and I’m still struggling with the effects. I can’t drive vehicles because I have blind spots in sight. For a long time I couldn’t read,” the star explained in a media call to present the documentary.

Lovato said these side effects remind her of what could have happened and what would happen if she returned to “this dark area again.”

“I’m grateful for those reminders, but I thank you for being someone who didn’t have to do much to rehabilitate. Rehabilitation came on the emotional side,” he confessed.

“Everything had to happen so I could learn the lessons I learned,” he added. “I’m very proud of the person I am now.”

The documentary, which will be screened at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival in Austin, Texas in March, explores Lovato’s addiction problems and the eating disorders he experienced as a child star, as well as the weight of fame in its most erratic stage.

In addition to the testimony of the singer, the film involves other artists such as Christina Aguilera and Elton John.

“Being young and famous, my God, is tough,” John says in the trailer.
