Deputy Sadoky Duarte, accused of assaulting police, complaint has been prosecuted and threatened

Provincial MP Sánchez Ramírez, Sadoky Duarte, has denounced that after the accusations against him, on an alleged assault on a police officer, have been made public, he has been persecuted and threatened.

Duarte has indicated that both he and people close to him have been persecuted following the claims made by the people in his favor.

“I want to denounce that if something happens to me, my family, my followers as a result of people’s complaints, we have been persecuted and I feel threatened even with my life,” the deputy said.

On the allegations, he said he maintains his position that the allegations against him are not true and that he will prove his innocence.

“I will show that I am a straightforward and objective person in relation to the facts of which I am being charged”, He argued.

“I said here in the Chamber that I agree to withdraw my parliamentary immunity to prove my innocence of the facts that have been imputed to me,” he said.

In this regard, he indicated that he wanted to “tarnish his image” and not recognize his legislative management that in 100 days has introduced several bills, including one that establishes a transitional tax of $ 5 per ounce ‘gold that pulls the mining company Barrick Gold.

On this piece of legislation, he explained that the money raised will be used for the construction of an aqueduct, as his province does not have drinking water, although it has the largest gold mine in the country.

Similarly, he added that he has introduced 14 resolutions for the benefit of the province he represents.

The deputy made a call to director of the National Police because of follow-up to the case around the persecution that supposedly has Colonel Jose Francisco de la Cruz.

He also asked the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, not to be carried away by unhealthy comments about his person and urged is willing to answer any questions to the president.
