The moon was finally added to Destiny 2 in 2019, but last year’s Beyond Light update left its loot obsolete. Bungie plans to fix it next season by re-editing some of its old equipment with a new infusion cap on the studio’s ongoing dance to try hit the game progression.

Bungie outlined the details of these changes, which will be introduced when season 13 begins on February 9, at this week’s blog entry. Here’s a quick rundown of the changes, which also apply to Dream City, added in 2018 Abandoned expansion:

Reissued Dreaming City Reverie Dawn and Moon Dreambane armor.

Reissued 4 weapons for Dreaming City with new Perk Pools.

  • The waking awake, the insomnia, the guarantee of validity and the story of tales.
  • Weapons of the dream city that fall into the dungeon of the shattered Throne can be thrown with advantages that are not available for drops from other sources of reward.

Reissued 4 Weapons for the Moon with new Perk Pools.

  • Premonition (only the heresy well), heretic, blasphemer, and apostate.
  • Weapons that fall into the dungeon of the heresy pit can be thrown with perks that are not available for drops from other sources of reward.

Beyond light has changed a lot in Destiny 2, not only get rid of several of the game’s basic locations and story campaigns, but also make obsolete large strips of your loot. Vand a new sunset system, it describes the power that powerful weapons and armor can gain to channel players into a smaller, more manageable group of loot and from a more sustainable Bungie perspective. After a series of complaints that the booty group had become too small, Bungie has been trying to rebuild it ever since, but some of its ways. ‘Trying to do so seems to completely undermine the simplicity behind the sunset.

On the one hand, the above changes are welcome changes, but on the other I am not sure why it was not done from the beginning. This is indeed an old loot that has been remixed and added to the game after the new infusion cap has rendered the original versions useless. Players who have spent the last few months playing Abandoned i Shadowkeep for the first time they have won equipment for the sunset, although both expansions still cost money (instead of being included with Beyond light).

For some reason, the old gear also sticks. “To be more specific about the actual experience, the activities in which the reissues are acquired will be heavily weighted towards the reward of reissued equipment over covered gearsalthough the exact weighting and mechanisms may vary, ”writes Game Assistant Director Joe Blackburn. “For example: in the city of dreams, if you’ve already got an infused weapon, it won’t fall on you again.” Why does gear with infusion cap fall off?

Bungie is also playing Crucible and Gambit progressions. Instead of collecting tokens, players will be ranked with any of the vendors as they would with any other, obtaining engrams by hitting each rank and additional making material at specific intervals. Basically, Shaxx and the Drifter will offer their own mini season passes. It seems like a better system than the current token-based one, but partly just because Bungie has been making this one much less rewarding than it might otherwise be. Token transfer reward packs fall to significantly lower power levels than your existing team and also pull from an extremely narrow set of gears that most players already have.

New progressions will make the chips obsolete, so players are advised to do so sooner before the start of next season. In practice, this means bothering with some menus in exchange for perhaps a piece of equipment of dozens and dozens that has an advantage or a statistical roll that is worth hanging up. Again, it seems to me that Bungie solves another problem of its own.

But wait, there’s more! Snowfall to certain Stasis skills in PVP is also on the way. Added to Beyond Light, the Stasis subclass, which revolves around icy crystals that freeze and break extremely powerfully and satisfactorily. ways, Crucible has been messy due to the degree of power it can have in competitive play. Update 3.0.2, to be released on January 19, wI will not significantly affect the scope and damage of the Shatter Dive and Whisper of Fissures abilities.

Llargterm, Bungie says so “Their goal is to make the subclasses more balanced and also govern skills to make weapons a more effective and viable means of competing in PVP. “We’re still in very early discussions, but we’re looking to restore a better balance where good gun play is rewarding on these playlists,” writes Tomonori Kinoshita, head of combat.

There are three weeks before the start of next season and Bungie is scheduled to preview more changes in future blog posts. I hope they show areas where Destiny 2 it will continue to grow, rather than simply fixing its past mistakes.
