The Mexican Héctor Herrera did not practice either when continuing with his muscular injury
Atletico Madrid continued this Monday with its preparation for Wednesday’s match against Getafe without Diego Costa, awaiting the probable and imminent departure of the striker, who has requested the entity his departure with contract termination due to family reasons.
The Spanish-Brazilian striker did not take part in Monday’s session at the Ciudad Deportiva de Majadahonda, while predictably exhausting his last hours at Atlético, with whom he has scored 84 goals in 210 games in six years , with four titles: a League (2013-14), a Copa del Rey (2012-13), a Europa League (2017-18) and two European Super Cups (2012 and 2018).
In addition to Diego Costa, Kieran Trippier did not exercise either, due to the ten-week sanction imposed on him last Wednesday by the English Federation and which is extendable to everyone; Ivo Grbic, isolated by COVID-19; and Héctor Herrera, who is continuing his recovery from a muscle injury he suffered two weeks ago.
The four are out for this Wednesday’s match against Getafe at the Wanda Metropolitan Stadium, in which Diego Simeone, on the other hand, recovers José Giménez and Joao Fèlix. The former has missed the last seven duels due to a muscle injury, while the latter was sidelined in the latter due to pharyngotonsillitis. Both have been training with the group since Saturday.
