Through social media, players of the Aztec combined lamented the departure of who was part of the Tricolor set no matter what coach came. Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was one of the first to mourn Saldaña’s death and he said goodbye with a photo of Ochoa chatting with the material manager.
Rest in peace friend, you will be surprised at all times, you were part of enjoying the selection. Hugged to the sky Gonza ???????? pic.twitter.com/Jb7Jn9N3KQ

Gonzalo was totally confident of all the elements that went through Selection. He had a whole protocol to take care of the uniforms and have everything ready for the comfort of the football player.
He liked to arrive at the stadiums 4 hours earlier to have everything well arranged for the time of the National Team match, which he accompanied in World Cups such as the one in Russia or the one in Brazil. He even went so far as to put in the opening photos of the matches next to the selected ones with his sweatshirt uniform.
How sad to wake up and know that my dear Gonzalo Saldaña (responsible for sele material) was ahead of us on the road to this virus. My deepest condolences to his entire family and may his wife come out of this virus too! Hugging to the sky my “Gonzi” is going to miss you ???? ❤️ Fu..kCovid ????
