On April 3rd TMZ reported that the 50-year-old rapper had been hospitalized and was in critical condition after a heart attack that was preceded by an apparent drug overdose. DMX director Nakia Walker told New York News on April 4, the DMX was in a “vegetative state.” TMZ reported today that a new round of neurological testing had indicated no improvement in DMX status. Rifkind says the family is expected to make a statement tomorrow (April 9).
