We all want to know who is hiding in our social media profiles, but the truth is that none of the major social media platforms will allow you to access this information, even if you are a verified user.
Despite this, there is an endless litany of third-party Instagram apps that promise:
- It will show you if another user has searched for you.
- Keep track of which users have recently seen your profile.
- List the followers who see your posts, even if they don’t comment or like them.
To be clear, there it is no way a third-party application can find this information for you. It is not tracked in any way that users or the applications they install can access.
These fake applications and secure browser extensions watch convincing, though. That’s why: they can fill your “recent views” with randomly generated real account lists that are updated every time you update the app. It’s a smart trick, but nonetheless. These opinions are not real.

If an app or browser extension claims to show you who is looking at your Instagram profile or is chasing your posts, it will lie. Do not download or delete any similar application you have tried. Depending on the degree of malice of the shitty app in question, it may track and sell your data, overload you with ads, or sow your device with malicious software. And even if he’s completely innocent, he won’t anything useful.
The only way to know if someone has seen your Instagram post is if they liked it or commented on it or if they mention it in person. Yes, you can obviously see who has seen your Instagram stories, but this is different from a regular Instagram publish.
Some apps may alert you when someone follows you. This is different from “tracking” who is looking at your profile, however, as your follower list is always accessible to you; these apps simply alert you to a change that would not otherwise be mentioned.
Of course, LinkedIn Premium users can get a snapshot of how often their account has appeared in searches and a list of who has checked their profile, if they are willing to pay for it. But there are no such features available for Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter or Facebook, and what it promises, no app will be able to destroy its secret harassers and admirers.
