LOS ANGELES – Justin Turner and AJ Pollock got the draws and the lead with single tugs in the eighth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers came in from last Wednesday to defeat the Atlanta Braves 4-3 and complete the sweep in his three-game series.
The Dodgers backed Max Scherzer with an early 2-0 lead and were dominating the Braves, leaders in the Eastern Division of the National League, when he left the mound after 76 pitches. The right worked six episodes with three-hit ball and nine strikeouts, no tickets.
Dansby Swanson broke the tie with a lone home run – his 26th toddler of the course – in the eighth and left Atlanta 3-2 up.
The Dodgers equalized thanks to a single from Turner in the gap between the third and the shortstop that towed Trea Turner, who had gotten there with after a double and a rollout out by Max MUNCY.
Corey Seager followed with a ball pass to Chris Martin (2-4), who charged with defeat, leading Justin Turner to second with two outs. Pollock sent a single to the same spot where Justin Turner had placed it, who crossed the plate for the final 4-3.
Phil Bickford (3-1) pulled one out for the win and Joe Kelly threw the ninth for the fifth save of his career.
For the Braves, Puerto Rican Eddie Rosari 4-2, with one scored and two tows. Venezuelans Ehire Adrianza 3-1; Orlando Arcia 1-0. The Cuban Jorge Soler 1-0.
