Dog bites a child under 3 in Lajas

Authorities reported that a 3-year-old boy was bitten by a dog, of the pit bull breed, in events that took place last night, Wednesday, in the Papayo de Lajas neighborhood.

According to police information, the minor was taken to La Concepción de Sant Germà hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fracture in his right collarbone, four broken ribs, a perforated lung, a cranial fracture and required suturing in different parts of the cos.

The little one was transported to the Pedres River Medical Center.

This case was referred to the Sexual Offenses Division of the Mayagüez CIC and Agent Neus, of Technical Services, worked the scene.
