The manager of the Cibaeñas eagles, Àngel Ovalles, unveiled the opening rotation of the Dominican Republic which will launch the Mazatlan Caribbean Series 2021, Which will be led by the pitcher of the Cardinals of San Luis, Carlos ‘Tsunami’ Martínez, who curiously will be the only Quisqueian who will be responsible for throwing from the start.
The rest of the rotation is made up of Cuban veterans Yunesky Maya, Yoanner Negrín, American Joe Van Ficar and left-wing Panamanian Andy Otero.

According to Ovalles himself, the board seeks to add several high-caliber reinforcements such as Robinson Canó, Jonathan Villar, Fernando Abad, among others.
It should be remembered that the “Eagles” earned their right to participate in the 2021 Caribbean Series after beating the Cibao Giants in seven exciting games.
Regarding its history in the Caribbean Series, the Cibao team has won five titles (1997, 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2007), ranking second among the most winners of the contest, behind its staunch rival in the Lidom, Licey Tigers, those who have been crowned ten times.
