Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have signed up to play the lead roles in a television adaptation of Amazon Studios Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as married suburban killers. Variety reports that Glover and Waller-Bridge will also be executive producers of the series.
Guava Island, The film focused on Glover’s music with Rihanna, was an original from Amazon. Waller-Bridge created and starred in the Prime Video series Fleabag. The two also shared scenes in the 2018 Disney movie Solo: A Star Wars story; Glover played Lando Calrissian and Waller-Bridge a droid named L3-37.
