Due to complications from covid-19 he died this Sunday on Dr. Carlos Coello in San Pedro Sula.
After almost a month of being admitted to a Unit of Intensive Care (ICU) of the Honduran Institute of Social Security (IHSS), the doctor lost the battle against the coronavirus.
The news was announced through its social networks by the president of the IHSS Medical Association, Carlos Umaña, Who mourned the death of another front-line warrior.
“Another front-line hero leaves us, Dr. Carlos Coello. Our deepest condolences to his family and medical guild,” Umaña wrote.
A year into a pandemic, more than 78 doctors they have lost the battle against the coronavirus in Honduras.
