PHOENIX – The director of the Arizona Department of Health Services, Dr. Cara Christ, did not allow questions on a media opportunity to front-line health workers receiving their second dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Dr. Christ also received her second vaccination and shortly thereafter left the press conference without offering a chance to ask questions and answers despite the COVID-19 crisis worsening our entire state.

In mid-December, Gov. Doug Ducey and Dr. Christ appeared together as they toured a vaccination site, urging Arizonaers to get the vaccine.
On Wednesday, in the availability of media, ABC15 journalist Mike Pelton asked Dr. Marjorie Bessel, clinical director of Banner Health, if she believes Dr. Christ and Governor Ducey have done a good job helping hospitals. to fight this wave.
“The state of Arizona has become the hottest spot for COVID,” Dr. Bessel said. “We are not doing a good job with this virus at the moment during this increase in the pandemic. Valleywise Health also noted Wednesday that they keep patients in the emergency room because there are no inpatient or inpatient beds available.
“The wait can be from a few hours to more than 24 or 48 hours in the emergency department until we can move someone from the emergency department to a hospital bed,” Dr. .
Dr. White also encouraged people to do their part while advocating for more mitigation efforts to help ease the burden on hospitals.
