Dr. Drew Pinsky has announced that he has hired COVID-19.
The 62-year-old made the news public via his Instagram account, sharing a photo depicting him recovering in bed with his wife Susan Sailer Pinsky standing in front of him.
Sailer Pinsky announced in the message that he had tested negative for the virus; she was seen wearing a face mask while spending time with her recovering husband.

Many of the doctor’s fans reacted to the site shortly after it was done and wished him and his family well.

On Sunday, Sailer Pinsky posted on her own Instagram account a post showing her husband lying in bed with several bottles of medicine placed next to her.
The title of the post, which alluded to his condition but did not explicitly state what it was, partially said, “Someone had a buggie!”
Pinsky had previously been criticized for his comments he had made earlier this year about COVID-19 and the pandemic in general; he also equated the virus to an influenza strain.
A video that collected many of the statements that were made was posted on YouTube and quickly withdrew after a request was made by the media personality team; the video was repositioned later.

The same month, Pinsky released a video apologizing for his comments and stating the belief that the pandemic was more severe than he had originally anticipated.
He said: “My first comments equating coronavirus with the flu were wrong … and I want to apologize for that. I wish I was right, but I was wrong.”
The doctor also stated that he believed in the advice of Dr. Anthony Fauci and noted that all his views were based on the recommendations of the White House Coronavirus working group member.
“Every time I took a position, I always said‘ make sure you listen to Dr. Fauci ’because he’s the person we need to look at, I was, you know, he was my guiding star in the AIDS epidemic and I should have of being your North Star now, ”he added.
