Some more draft notes from across the NFL:

  • Not him Saints ni Raiders will lose a draft due to violations of COVID-19 policies, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com. “They don’t lose them,” McCarthy said. “Neither team will lose those options.” According to the reporter, there were rumors that New Orleans would lose a seventh-round pick after a “maskless costume celebration,” and the Raiders were expected to lose a sixth-round due to multiple infractions. Although the NFL provided no context on its decision, Florio assumes that both organizations appealed its sanctions and were successful.
  • When the NFL announced compensatory selections for the 2021 draft, the Patriots he didn’t have a fifth-round pick. However, a source confirmed to PFT that New England had received a fifth round in the next draft. According to Smith, the NFL “realized an error in calculating the complex formula for determining compensatory selections,” which led to the selection of additional Patriots.
  • Thanks to the aforementioned NFL compensatory selection audit, the Falcons they are also moving two slots in the fifth round, according to Smith. Also, while the NFL only allows you to add 32 compensatory selections each year, this time they have made an exception. Thanks to the Patriots’ additional draft pick, the Bones he would not normally have received this final compensatory choice; the NFL and the NFL Players Association allowed Chicago to finally maintain that selection.
