As part of the “Drawing a Smile” project, students from the Victoria de Girón Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana visited this Friday the oncology room of the “Juan Manuel Márquez” Pediatric Hospital in Marianao and the subsidiary nursery without subsidiary located at the heights of the Lisa.
In both places Daniela Pacífic, Daniel Bacallao, Melissa Sorà and Lazaro Horta they delivered donations sent by other students and workers for the children.
According to Daniel Bacallao, one of the future doctors involved in the initiative, posted on his Facebook account, on the visit to the oncology room they gave presents to parents and relatives.

“Complying with biosecurity measures, in the distance we could see children’s faces smiling beneath the nasobuco, others waving their hands to greet and others with their tender voice thanking us in the distance,” he recounted.
The next stop on the route was the non-subsidiary nursery located in Altures de la Lisa.
“Here we met the beautiful and kind assistants who are in charge of the care and care of these children, we met the naughty boys and their aspirations to be doctors, athletes, accountants and even, we met who is the worst domino player, ”Bacallao commented.
It was certainly a rewarding afternoon sharing the gesture of many people who support actions like these.
